Department of occupational and environmental health (DSTE)
The department of occupational and environmental health (DSTE) aims to promote healthy working environments and conditions that are good for individuals and society.
It provides services to support companies in their health management projects in the fields of occupational medicine, occupational and environmental hygiene, ergonomics and health promotion. In addition, the department offers specialized consultations on occupational and environmental issues.
It conducts applied research into occupational and environmental health in the following fields: exposure sciences, environmental engineering, occupational medicine, human factors, epidemiology and digital and global health.
The department is also the cantonal reference center for travel medicine prevention, and the reference center for tropical and travel medicine management.
Finally, the department provides pre- and post-graduate training for occupational health professionals and specialists.
